Terms and Conditions

CigarsConnection is an online directory and event platform for cigar lounges in the United States. We list lounges, show events, and let people buy event tickets. We are an internet publishing platform. We do not sell cigars or tobacco products, and we are not a lounge.

You must be at least 21 years old to use the Site. By using it, you confirm that you are 21 or older. If you are under 21, do not use the Site, create an account, or buy tickets. We may close any account if we believe the person behind it is under 21.

• You may need an account to buy tickets, follow lounges, leave ratings, or manage a lounge.
• Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us right away at support@cigarsconnection.com if you think someone else has used it.
• One person per account. Do not share your login.

• Lounge information, such as names, addresses, phone numbers, hours, photos, and ratings, comes from public sources, from the lounges themselves, and from third parties such as Google.
• We work to keep it accurate, but we cannot promise it is complete or current. Lounges open, close, move, and change their hours. Please call the lounge before you visit.
• A “Verified” mark means we checked that the listing has been confirmed by us or by a representative of the lounge. It is not an endorsement, rating of quality, or guarantee.
• Ratings from Google, and reviews left by members, are opinions. They are not our views.
• A listing on the Site does not mean the lounge is affiliated with us or endorses us, unless it says so.

• Who runs the event. Events are created and hosted by the lounges. The lounge, not CigarsConnection, is responsible for the event itself, including its content, safety, capacity, entry rules, and whether it takes place.
• Our role. We provide the tool that lets lounges sell tickets and lets you buy them. Payments are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor, and are also subject to Stripe’s terms. We never see or store your full card number.
• Prices and fees. The price you pay, including any [service fee], is shown before you complete your purchase. Taxes, if any, are shown at checkout.
• Your ticket. Your ticket is a limited, personal permission to attend that event. You may not resell it for more than you paid, or use it for any commercial purpose, unless the lounge allows it.
• Entry. The lounge may check ID and may refuse entry to anyone under 21 or anyone who breaks the lounge’s rules or the law. A ticket does not guarantee entry in those cases.
• Refunds and cancellations. [Refund policy to be confirmed.] Because the lounge hosts the event, we may share your refund request with them.
• Changes. A lounge may change an event’s time, place, or details. We will help you if a change affects your ticket, but the lounge decides what to offer.
• Sharing your information. When you buy a ticket, we give the lounge your name, email address, and ticket details so it can check you in, as explained in our Privacy Policy.

If you claim a lounge or manage one through our dashboard:

• You confirm that you are the owner of the lounge, or are authorized by the owner to act for it. Do not claim a lounge you do not run.
• We may ask for proof, such as a business license or a utility bill in the business’s name, and we may call the lounge’s listed phone number to confirm. We may approve, reject, or revoke a claim at our discretion.
• You are responsible for everything posted under your lounge, including its events, photos, videos, and descriptions, and for the people you give access to.
• You must follow the law when hosting events, including age restrictions and any local rules on tobacco and alcohol.
• Lounges that sell tickets may be required to set up a Stripe account. Their use of Stripe is subject to Stripe’s terms, and we are not responsible for Stripe’s services.
• You may use attendee information only to run your event, including check-in, refunds, and event updates. Do not sell it or use it for unrelated marketing.

You may be able to post content, such as ratings, reviews, photos, videos, and lounge descriptions (“Your Content”).

• You own it. You keep ownership of Your Content.
• You give us permission to use it. By posting, you give us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive right to host, display, copy, resize, and share Your Content on and in connection with the Site and our promotion of it.
• You promise it is yours to post. You confirm that you have the right to share it, and that it does not break the law or anyone’s rights.
• Be honest. Reviews must come from your own genuine experience. Do not post fake or paid reviews, or reviews about your own lounge or a competitor.
• We may remove it. We may remove or hide any content, at any time, if we think it breaks these Terms or the law, or if it is reported to us.
• Reporting. If you see inaccurate or harmful content, use the “report” option on the Site or email support@cigarsconnection.com.

Do not:

• Break any law, or help anyone else do so.
• Let anyone under 21 use your account or tickets.
• Post anything unlawful, hateful, threatening, harassing, sexually explicit, or misleading, or content that promotes tobacco to minors.
• Pretend to be someone else, or claim a lounge you do not run.
• Collect information from the Site by automated means, such as scraping or bulk copying our lounge directory, without our written permission.
• Try to break into, overload, or interfere with the Site, its security, or other users’ accounts.
• Use the Site to send spam.
• Use the Site’s name, logo, or content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

Tobacco use is harmful to your health and can be addictive. Cigar smoking causes cancer and other serious illnesses. Laws about tobacco, smoking, and lounges differ by state and city, and you are responsible for following those that apply to you. CigarsConnection does not encourage anyone to smoke.

The Site’s design, text, logos, and software belong to CigarsConnection or its licensors and are protected by law. You may view and use the Site for your own personal, non-commercial use. Third-party names, logos, and photos belong to their owners.

The Site uses and links to other companies’ services, such as Stripe, Google, Mapbox, and lounge websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices. Their terms and policies apply when you use them.

If you sign up for emails or push notifications, we will send them as described in our Privacy Policy. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in each email. We will still send messages about your account and tickets.

You may stop using the Site and close your account at any time by emailing support@cigarsconnection.com. We may suspend or end your access at any time if you break these Terms, if the law requires it, or to protect the Site or other people. Sections that by their nature should continue after that, such as Sections 7, 14, 15 and 16, will continue.

The Site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises, express or implied, about the Site, including that it will be accurate, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any lounge or event will be suitable for you. Some places do not allow these limits, so some may not apply to you.

To the fullest extent the law allows:

• CigarsConnection is not responsible for what lounges, event hosts, or other users do or say, for the condition or safety of any lounge or event, or for anything that happens at a lounge or event.
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Site.
• Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site or these Terms will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

You agree to defend and reimburse CigarsConnection and its owners and staff for losses, claims, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that come from your breach of these Terms, your content, or your misuse of the Site.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in [county], New Jersey, and you agree to that location. Before filing anything, please contact us at support@cigarsconnection.com so we can try to resolve it informally.

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here and change the effective date. If we make a significant change, we will tell you by email or a notice on the Site. Using the Site after a change means you accept it.

• If any part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
• If we do not enforce a part of these Terms, that does not mean we have given it up.
• You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours as part of a sale or reorganization of our business.
• These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site.
