I’ve smoked cigars for more than 25 years, and the nights I remember most all happened in a lounge. A roller at work beside the humidor. A new release lit for the first time. A pairing that changed how I saw a cigar I thought I knew. A room full of strangers who were regulars by the end of the night.

Those nights are what keep a lounge alive, and lounges across this country host them every week: tastings, pairing dinners, release parties, live music, cigar socials, and charity nights. Finding them is another story. They’re scattered across lounge websites, social media, ticket sites, and word of mouth, and too often you hear about the best ones after they’re over.
